Our commitment

Many of the people using this site are in pain, moving carefully, reading one-handed on a phone, or navigating with a screen reader or keyboard alone. Health information that only some people can reach is not health information. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the current international standard published by the W3C, across megaazee.com.

As a private clinic we are not covered by the public sector accessibility regulations, but we are covered by the Equality Act 2010, which requires us to make reasonable adjustments in how we provide our services. This website is part of our service.

Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, but some parts do not yet.

What we have done

Every page uses semantic headings and landmarks, a skip-to-content link, visible keyboard focus indicators, and text that reflows at 320px and resizes to 200% without breaking. Images carry descriptive alternative text, and exercise images are described in the body copy as well, because a picture alone never explains a movement accessibly. Form fields have real labels rather than placeholder text, errors are described in words, and scroll animations respect the reduced-motion setting in your operating system. Our testimonial carousel works with previous and next buttons and with the keyboard, not swipe alone.

Known limitations

Embedded map. The third-party map on our contact page has limited keyboard support. Our full address, parking and step-free access details are written out in text directly above it, so no information is available only inside the map.
Downloadable documents. Some older PDF fee sheets are not fully tagged for screen readers. Email hello@megaazee.com and we will send the same information as accessible HTML or plain text.
Video. Exercise videos have captions. Audio description is not yet available on all of them.

Accessibility at the clinic

Step-free access, accessible parking and WC arrangements, hearing loop availability, ground-floor treatment rooms, longer appointments on request, interpreter and BSL arrangements, and assistance dogs are covered on our contact page. Call 0161 000 0000 before your first visit and we will tell you exactly what to expect at the door. Arriving uncertain about access is a genuine barrier to care, and it is one we can remove with a two-minute phone call.

How we tested

Self-assessment using axe-core, Lighthouse and manual testing, covering keyboard-only navigation of the full booking path, screen reader testing, 400% zoom and Windows High Contrast Mode.
